FAQ

• Propagation

  • What is Propagation?

A zombie shooter with a creepy atmosphere in which waves of zombies and monsters come at you.

  • How many players can play Propagation at VRcafe?

Solo or as a pair together, each in your own play area. If there are more of you, you play in pairs or take turns.

  • How long does a round of Propagation take?

A round takes about 30 minutes. So you'll still have time in your slot for another game, or you can switch players after a round.

  • From what age can you play Propagation?

From age 16. It's a horror game with dark, cramped spaces and zombies that keep getting closer. For kids' parties, VRcafe chooses other games.

  • Is Propagation difficult?

It's a challenging game. You have to watch your ammo and switch quickly between weapons while the zombies get closer. The host explains beforehand how to shoot and reload.

  • Do I need to book Propagation separately?

No. You book a VR Experience and choose the game on the spot. If you're playing as a pair, you start together on a train and the game begins as soon as both players press Ready.

  • What weapons do you have in Propagation and where are they?

A pistol, a shotgun and a sniper rifle. The pistol hangs on your right hip, and you grab the shotgun and sniper rifle by reaching over your shoulder to your back. Without a weapon you can also punch with your fists.

  • How do you reload in Propagation?

You take ammo from your left hip and click it into the bottom of your weapon. You have to pump the shotgun after every shot.

  • Is Propagation scary?

Yes, it's one of the horror games at VRcafe. If it turns out to be too scary, you switch to another game. The host sorts that out in a minute or two.

  • What should you play after Propagation?

If you want more horror, Arizona Sunshine or Affected: The Manor fit well. If you need a breather, choose something calm like Nature Treks VR.

• Booking

  • How do I book a VR Experience in Haarlem?

Booking is easy via the Book button on our website. Choose your activity, select 60, 90 or 120 minutes, enter the number of players and pick a time slot. You’ll immediately see available times and receive a confirmation by email.

  • Which time slots are available and what time do you recommend?

You can book daily within our opening hours. Available time slots are shown live in the booking system. Weekdays are usually quieter, ideal for smaller groups. Weekends and holidays are busier - book in advance. For groups or those wanting to try multiple games, we recommend 90 or 120 minutes.

  • How much does a booking cost and what is included?

The price depends on duration (60/90/120 min) and timing (weekday/weekend). Included: short briefing, guidance from a host, use of VR headsets & controllers, hygiene covers, and the option to switch between multiple games. Not included (optional): food & drinks, private session, or some premium and escape titles with a small surcharge.

  • Can we come with more than 11 people?

We have 11 play areas, so 11 people can play at the same time. If you come with more than 11, we rotate in rounds; the host manages teams and quick switches. Advice: 9–12 players → 90–120 min; 13+ → 120 min or two slots. Not every title supports 11 players; the host selects suitable games. For VR Racing: max 4 at once.

  • Can I change or cancel my booking?

You can cancel or modify your booking via the website or by contacting us. Please note that cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance you cancel or change. You can also add cancellation insurance directly when booking.

  • How far in advance should I book to be sure of a spot?

For small groups, a few days in advance is usually enough. For weekends, holidays or packages (such as kids parties or company outings), we recommend booking at least one week in advance.
