    • What is a VR Company Outing?

      A VR Company Outing is an active team event full of collaboration, humor, and competition. Colleagues play various VR games together - from laser tag to puzzles and racing - guided by our hosts. It’s an original way to experience something new together outside the work environment.

    • Why is VR a good idea for a company outing?

      VR takes everyone out of their daily routine. It’s accessible, brings people together, and guarantees lots of laughter. Teams need to collaborate, communicate, and sometimes let go - perfect for team building and relaxation.

    • What does an average program look like?

      We start with a short introduction and demo, after which you play multiple rounds with different games. There’s time to laugh, switch, and encourage each other. Depending on group size, the program usually lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours.

    • Can we tailor the activity to our team or theme?

      Yes, absolutely. We can adapt the program to your goals or preferences: more teamwork, more competition, or a more relaxed experience. Themes like ‘communication’, ‘trust’, or ‘fun after work’ can also be central.

    • Can we add a prize ceremony or competitive element?

      Definitely! We can track scores and finish with a leaderboard or small award ceremony. Perfect for teams that enjoy a bit of healthy competition.

    • Is a VR Company Outing suitable for everyone, even without gaming experience?

      Yes, VR is surprisingly easy to get into. Our hosts guide everything and select games suited to your group’s level. Everyone can participate - from beginners to enthusiasts.

    • Can you accommodate larger groups or departments?

      Yes, larger departments are also welcome. We divide the group into teams and alternate between VR activities and, for example, a social break, so everyone stays involved.

    • Can we combine the VR outing with drinks or lunch?

      Yes, that’s possible. Afterward, you can enjoy drinks or food in the café or nearby. Let us know during booking so we can arrange everything.

    • Is a VR Company Outing suitable as a closing activity for a workday or quarterly meeting?

      Yes, especially then! Many companies combine a VR session with a short presentation or drinks. We’re happy to help integrate it into your schedule.

    • Can we receive an invoice under the company name?

      Yes, of course. Companies can easily book via invoice. Provide your company details during reservation, and we’ll handle the rest.

    • What is an original company outing near Amsterdam?

      VRcafe Haarlem is an original company outing 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central, right next to Haarlem station. You play VR activities of your choice and finish with drinks including unlimited food and beverages. No transport hassle: everyone gets there easily by public transport.

    • What is a fun staff party idea in North Holland?

      At VRcafe Haarlem you combine a staff party with VR activities, arcades and drinks at one location, for up to 50+ people. Unlimited drinks from 14.95 euros p.p., unlimited food and drinks from 19.95 euros p.p. Centrally located in North Holland, next to Haarlem station.

    • What is a suitable company outing for autumn or winter?

      A VR company outing is fully indoors and therefore perfect for autumn and winter. No dependence on the weather, but plenty of action, competition and warm drinks afterwards. Tip: December and January are popular for end-of-year celebrations, so book in time.

    • What is a fun end-of-year or New Year activity with the team?

      Close out the year with a VR tournament: teams compete against each other in VR Laser Gaming or VR Racing, followed by drinks with unlimited food and beverages. An end-of-year celebration in Haarlem that everyone remembers, including the colleagues who never game.

  • Booking

    • How do we book or request a quote?

      Book online or request a quote with: date, group size, desired package, private yes/no and any preferences (program, catering).

    • What is included in the price and what are the options?

      Included: briefing, guidance, use of headsets/controllers and gameplay within your booked duration. Optional: private session, extra time, leaderboard/prize and catering.

    • Catering: drinks/snacks/packages (vega/vegan)?

      Yes. Drinks/snacks at the bar or as a package. Vegetarian/vegan options available; please inform us about allergens in advance.

    • Invoice (VAT/PO) and payment on account?

      Yes. We provide a VAT invoice; PO/purchase number can be added. Payment via card/credit card or on account (after approval).

    • Is there parking nearby?

      Interparking Station is located right next to us. Book in advance via Interparking and use code VRCAFE15 for 15% discount. Entrance: bus side of the station. Alternative: Jansweg parking (5 min walk). Public transport stops at Haarlem station, right outside. Bike parking available.

    • Is there a toilet?

      Yes, toilets are available. There are 2 toilets for guests.

    • Can I wear my glasses while playing?

      Yes, you can wear your glasses. The VR headsets are designed to fit comfortably over most glasses.

    • Is it accessible for wheelchairs?

      Yes, the location is wheelchair accessible. Most VR experiences can be played seated.

  • General

    • How large can our group be, and how many can play at the same time?

      We welcome groups of up to ±50 people. At the same time, 11 play on the game fields and 4 in the racing area; the rest rotate in rounds.

    • Which duration/package do you recommend per group size?

      Up to 12 people: Small (±1h) or Medium (±2h). 13–24 people: Medium (±2h). 25–50 people: Large (±3h) or two consecutive slots. This way everyone gets multiple turns without waiting.

    • Can spectators watch along?

      Yes. Each play field has a screen to watch; great for atmosphere and team coaching.

    • Do I need to arrive earlier?

      You are allowed to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time, but it is not required.

    • Where exactly can I find the VRcafe?

      The VRcafe is located at Stationsplein 68 in Haarlem, directly opposite the station. Bus and train stop right outside. By car, you can park at Interparking Station Garage next to us (use code VRCAFE15 for 15% discount).

    • Can I store my belongings somewhere while playing?

      Yes. We have a safe place for jackets, bags, and belongings while you play.
