FAQ

• Cook-out

  • What is Cook-out?

A chaotic cooking game in which you work together to prepare and serve orders as fast as possible.

  • How many players can play Cook-out at VRcafe?

With 1 to 4 players in one kitchen, each in their own play area. If there are more of you, you take turns or the rest play another game in the meantime.

  • How do you make an order in Cook-out?

Customers come in with their order above their heads. You chop, grill and toast the ingredients and put everything on a plate in the right order.

  • From what age can you play Cook-out?

From age 7. You cook and serve; there's no fighting or shooting.

  • Is Cook-out difficult?

The difficulty is medium. You start at Town 1, and after that the orders get more complicated and you have to be faster. The host explains beforehand how to grab, chop and serve.

  • Do I need to book Cook-out separately?

No. You book a VR Experience and choose your games on the spot. The host starts Cook-out and puts you in the same kitchen.

  • Why do you have to work together in Cook-out?

Each player has different ingredients, such as bread, meat, vegetables, dairy and herbs. Without talking to each other you won't finish an order, so you throw things to each other across the middle.

  • Is Cook-out good for a team outing or with the family?

Yes. It's all about communicating and dividing tasks, and everyone gets the idea straight away.

  • How do you start a level in Cook-out?

You choose a level on a rotating table and start by giving a thumbs-up.

  • What should you play after Cook-out?

If you want to do something else together, choose Elven Assassin or Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. In the mood for something calm? Then Walkabout Mini Golf fits well.

• Booking

  • How do I book a VR Experience in Haarlem?

Booking is easy via the Book button on our website. Choose your activity, select 60, 90 or 120 minutes, enter the number of players and pick a time slot. You’ll immediately see available times and receive a confirmation by email.

  • Which time slots are available and what time do you recommend?

You can book daily within our opening hours. Available time slots are shown live in the booking system. Weekdays are usually quieter, ideal for smaller groups. Weekends and holidays are busier - book in advance. For groups or those wanting to try multiple games, we recommend 90 or 120 minutes.

  • How much does a booking cost and what is included?

The price depends on duration (60/90/120 min) and timing (weekday/weekend). Included: short briefing, guidance from a host, use of VR headsets & controllers, hygiene covers, and the option to switch between multiple games. Not included (optional): food & drinks, private session, or some premium and escape titles with a small surcharge.

  • Can we come with more than 11 people?

We have 11 play areas, so 11 people can play at the same time. If you come with more than 11, we rotate in rounds; the host manages teams and quick switches. Advice: 9–12 players → 90–120 min; 13+ → 120 min or two slots. Not every title supports 11 players; the host selects suitable games. For VR Racing: max 4 at once.

  • Can I change or cancel my booking?

You can cancel or modify your booking via the website or by contacting us. Please note that cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance you cancel or change. You can also add cancellation insurance directly when booking.
