Elven Assassin VR
spelen in centrum van Haarlem

Elven Assassin is one of the most popular VR games at VRcafe Haarlem. You stand on the walls as an elven archer while waves of orcs and trolls storm your village. Shooting feels completely natural: pull back the string, aim and let go. Play solo or team up with friends in co-op, where you split the lanes and cover each other when things get busy. The controls take a minute to learn, so Elven Assassin is a great first VR game and a favourite at kids' parties, family outings and team outings in Haarlem. Suitable from 8 years.

FAQ

  • Elven Assassin

    • What is Elven Assassin?

You're an elf defending your village with a bow and arrow against orcs, trolls and other monsters. You can play solo, together or against each other.

    • How many players can play Elven Assassin at VRcafe?

Together against the monsters with 1 to 4 players, against each other with 2 to 8 players. Everyone stands in their own play area in the same private game. If your group is bigger, you take turns or the rest play another game in the meantime.

    • How long does a round of Elven Assassin take?

A round of Elven Assassin takes about 15 minutes or less in every game mode. So in one time slot you'll play several rounds, and after each round you can choose a different setting.

    • From what age can you play Elven Assassin?

From age 8. You shoot monsters like orcs and trolls with a bow and arrow.

    • Is Elven Assassin difficult?

The difficulty is medium. You shoot with a real bow movement: draw and release. The host explains the controls before the first wave of monsters arrives.

    • Do I need to book Elven Assassin separately?

No. You book a VR Experience and choose your games on the spot. The host starts Elven Assassin and puts you together in the same village.

    • How do you shoot a bow and arrow in Elven Assassin?

You hold the bow in your left hand and the arrow in your right. Click the arrow into the bow, hold down the button under your index finger, pull back and let go.

    • How do you move in Elven Assassin and how active is it?

You shoot an arrow at a blue area and instantly stand in that spot, so you don't need to walk. You do have to really duck for the axes the troll throws. If you get hit, you're out until the next wave.

    • Can you also play Elven Assassin against each other?

Yes. Up to 8 players then shoot at each other, with extras such as an arrow that follows your target, a rain of icicles and little bombs.

    • Can I play Elven Assassin left-handed?

Yes. Tell the host beforehand, as it's set up before the game starts.

  • Booking

    • How do I book a VR Experience in Haarlem?

Booking is easy via the Book button on our website. Choose your activity, select 60, 90 or 120 minutes, enter the number of players and pick a time slot. You’ll immediately see available times and receive a confirmation by email.

    • Which time slots are available and what time do you recommend?

You can book daily within our opening hours. Available time slots are shown live in the booking system. Weekdays are usually quieter, ideal for smaller groups. Weekends and holidays are busier - book in advance. For groups or those wanting to try multiple games, we recommend 90 or 120 minutes.

    • How much does a booking cost and what is included?

The price depends on duration (60/90/120 min) and timing (weekday/weekend). Included: short briefing, guidance from a host, use of VR headsets & controllers, hygiene covers, and the option to switch between multiple games. Not included (optional): food & drinks, private session, or some premium and escape titles with a small surcharge.

    • Can we come with more than 11 people?

We have 11 play areas, so 11 people can play at the same time. If you come with more than 11, we rotate in rounds; the host manages teams and quick switches. Advice: 9–12 players → 90–120 min; 13+ → 120 min or two slots. Not every title supports 11 players; the host selects suitable games. For VR Racing: max 4 at once.

    • Can I change or cancel my booking?

You can cancel or modify your booking via the website or by contacting us. Please note that cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance you cancel or change. You can also add cancellation insurance directly when booking.

    • How far in advance should I book to be sure of a spot?

For small groups, a few days in advance is usually enough. For weekends, holidays or packages (such as kids parties or company outings), we recommend booking at least one week in advance.

    • Can I reserve by phone or email at VRcafe Haarlem?

Yes, you can. Online booking is the fastest, but for questions or group reservations you can always call or email us. We’re happy to help with advice on times and activities.
